BOARD OF DIRECTORS TELECONFERENCE MEETING JUNE 12, 2008
President Derrie Minyard called the meeting to order. Present were: Alice Thompson - Vice President Ernie Haire - Treasurer Donald Johnston Buz Hipp Brenda Fox
Not present were Mike Reis and Randall Horn - Executive Advisor.
Brenda Fox read the minutes from the previous months meeting. Buz Hipp made the Motion to accept the minutes as read. Ernie Haire Seconded the Motion. A roll vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion Passed.
Brenda Fox gave the Financial Report. In the General Fund was $22,385.91. In the Scholarship Fund was $26,971.29 and in the Youth Fund was $5,967.06. Outstanding bills this week are: Electric Bill - 487.38 PA Show Prem - 100.00 Budget Conf. - 151.88 Fed Ex - 136.57 Office Depot - 394.65 (folders and ink cartridges) Lone Star Silversmith - 1641.50 (Youth Belt Buckles)
There is a $3900 deposit to be made and $1500 in credit card receipts to be deposited this week.
There were 39 renewals this week and 24 new members.
Alice Thompson made the Motion to accept the Financial Report as read. Donald Johnston Seconded the Motion. A roll vote was taken with all voting yes. Motion Passed.
Trish Oliver joined the meeting to address the Board about issues that she had concerning the Association. 1. Trish had heard that Wynema Adams was the reason that there will not be Nationals this year. 2. Where does the Association stand, are registrations falling? What about memberships? 3.
